English Language Challenges

Hi everyone, in this last blog i hope to share my experience learning English in the University, I enjoyed the classes, the movies and the texts that read. The use of blogs i think it be useful to develop the writting and reading skills, the topics worked was very interesting, specially the movie’s rewiew, i believe that the see movies in english without subtitles is a very smart way to training the eyes and ears to other language.

With respect to the things that improve in the English Classes i think is required to develop the speaking skills with more conversation sessions, more video-blogs, i think is necessary add a level 5 and 6 to improve more all the skills, and progress the performance to all the students like a way to improve the future work opportunities.Also i think that is necessary more technique vocabulary of the field that be able with a level 5 or 6 in the English Classes, in my case, i think to take private classes to certificate the level and improve my own performance of English, added to the use to Applications like Duolingo and Memrise in the cellphone, and Rosseta Stone on the laptop.

I think that in this classes i learned a lot of security in speaking and vocabulary, but outside the clases i sing at home’s karaoke with my mom and my partner; reading articles and books related with my Thesis Theme; watch lectures, movies and series in English without subtitles in Spanish (sometimes i watched with english subtitles...shame on me u.u); but i pretend to go on learning English and maybe another languages too.

Some Changes that i will made someday in my career.

Hi everyone,

Today i wrote about some changes in the career, i think in a first place is necessary to extend the lenght to the career with a specialization period of professionalization like a way to increase the work opportunities in the real world (is very naif think that live-of-arts in abstract), like Curator, Mediator, Arts & Cultural Manager, Art Historian or Art Theoric.

I wish to change the Teaching Metods in the first’s years of the career, today i thing is very similar to the High School, and the students delay to develop the attitude and skills appropiate to the area. Besides this things, i will change the contents of the subjects, because today some Scholars think to the 80’s like the golden age of chilean art, and the “Advance Scene” like the consecration of the art in Chile, replicating the model in the actual studient body in a never-ending cycle with writtings that is the abstraction of the abstraction in the case of Theory and History of Art Students.

Plus this, I believe necessary an update to the library’s faculty, today most of the books that is required aren’t here, we must to find in another faculties and another universities too!, and this needs to change soon!. The classrooms are sufficient to the actual number to students , by this i think isn’t change.

I add to the curriculum more academic offers for wide the vision of the disciplinary field by the way of courses like Net-Art, Creative Economy,Mediation, Research in Heritage Studies, Curatory,and others.

All this is mostly required to access to the Real Working World, and is necessary to think this before the duty of Arts Faculty will be greatest than must closed the career for insuffient funds to finance.

This is my Brother in a last presentation with a Folckloric Group

Hello!, today i will  write about  my plans for Independence Day vacations (¿?...the question is ironic for the reasons that write next).

I hope to eat ‘Choripan’, ‘Anticucho’ and ‘Empanadas’ with more handcrafted ‘pebre’ in the BBQ from my home or in the home of some friend, accompanied by my mom (she is hemiplegic for an effect of a stroke that suffer in the last february).

For these reason i will stay with her the largest time that i don’t stay in clases, and the celebrations are familiar moments to celebrate the life.

I wish to resta ll the time i can, but i know that is imposible, in my caretaker-condition.

Other years i’m going to the ‘fondas’ to see my brother dance in folckloric groups, he is a great dancer of ‘cueca’ ( some years ago he wins many championships), and i was see the ‘peña’ that organized my mom in the school that worked, and sing with family’s Friends in BBQ on home.

This year, the week of Independence Day’s Vacations is next to the first week of classes for the second semester, so i think that is almost difficult to relax in these days, in home the time is vary short, and i must to make almost daily all of labours of home, and i don’t know nothing for holidays for a while.

I hope to my brother coming to share with us, but the frecuency of visits for him is each two monts… because of this i doubt…

Sorry for have to read this sad blog, but is my real statement and i don’t have to lie for the vacations or holidays…
